Started in 2008, Great White Food Services has been assisting seafood importers with the Quality Management Program for Imports (QMPI). We have been monitoring our clients imports and conducting all the necessary inspections as required by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to verify that the seafood imports coming into Canada are safe. The new Safe Food for Canadian Regulations (SFCR) models the same Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) concept that the QMPI have employed since it’s inception back in 1996. Our company president was involved with the QMPI from it’s very beginning, hence having over two decades experience working with the QMPI and dealing with the CFIA. Our sister company, Chinook Trading Company also has it’s own QMPI license.
